Photo day can be tough, but MugsyClicks has tips for better pics!
The Day Before:
- Remind kids about photo day; these photos may be framed or gifted.
- Encourage good behavior with the photographer. "Good listeners" get great photos! "Cheese is a dairy product, not an expression"—no fake smiles!
- Suggest simple, solid color shirts (no cartoon characters).
- Maybe it's hair washing night for clean, shiny hair.
- Teachers: Wear eye-popping colors, and avoid low necklines or busy prints.
Photo Day:
- Before leaving the classroom, ensure everyone is tidy: hair, buttoned clothes, clean faces.
- Remind kids to be polite and respectful to the photo team for efficient, great photo experience.
- If present, quickly check kids before they pose.
- Do NOT stand behind the photographer to make kids smile; it confuses and slows things. Trust the pros!
- Send confident kids first as examples. Let shy kids watch to get comfortable; anxious kids can make others anxious.
- Teachers: Don't forget your own photo! Quick mirror check for hair and poppy seeds. Relax and breathe!
